Construction ~ Week 10

Siding and trim were the story of the week.  We checked in periodically and each time would find more and more done.  These pictures were all taken on Thursday.  On the front, they have finished the majority of the first floor, stopping just below the porch roof.  Today (Friday) they started on the 2nd story, but I did not have my camera tonight.

I was so excited when Ned went to the porch and yelled, "Lights!"  I have been waiting patiently for the electrician to get busy.  I rushed inside and found...nothing.  Ned said he probably came to do the porch, because the ceiling will be the same material as they are trimming the eaves.  At least it's a start.

The back is completely finished.  I'm ready for those window stickers to be gone.

Foundations for the steps were poured this week, so the brick work for those should start soon.  Hopefully Hurricane Irene will be kind, but we're insured and would rather see damage here than where we are staying now, if we had to choose.  We prefer no damage anywhere, though!

Avery still enjoys going to the house and seeing if Clint is home.  At some point Ned and I must have joked about using Clint's swimming pool once we move in.  We also must have joked about Clint providing hotdogs when we were there, because now Avery is convinced that we're going to "Cunk's" house to eat hotdogs.  And sit on the tractor.  If she could have Clint, a pool, hotdogs, and a tractor all at once, she'd be in heaven.
