October

October is always busy as we squeeze in as many fall activities as we can.

The month started of rainy, so we were a few days into October before we could get to Pineview to get our pumpkins.

We enjoyed Homecoming at school

Everyone had their smiles ready on picture day.

We took Katie and Parker to Turtle Creek for the afternoon.  We visited the animals, went in the corn maze, rode the hayride, and picked pumpkins.  Parker even picked a pumpkin to announce that he is going to be a big brother.

We brought Avery's friend Paisley home for a play date before a football game at school.

Daddy did a great job carving the pumpkin.

Elsa and Olaf had a great evening trick-or-treating.

September

September was unbelievably busy.

Avery lost her 2nd tooth.

We attended our first football game of the season.

We had some rain and didn't have the right size boots.

We had a fun morning at Disney on Ice.  Ned and I rushed home to attend a rainy outdoor wedding.

We had promotion Sunday at church.

We spent the weekend in Duck, NC with Ned's parents.  It was a perfect fall weekend at the beach.  We visited with our friends the Adams, had time on the beach, shopped, ate, and Avery and I watched the sunrise.

We traveled to Spencer, NC to ride Thomas.  We went down on Saturday, did some shopping on our way, and had dinner before turning in.  Sunday was drizzly, but that didn't stop us.  We went the first of 2 weekends that Thomas was in NC, and the 2nd weekend ended up having horrible weather, so we were thankful for our drizzle.

August

August was spent trying to cram in as much summer as we could with lots of time at the pool and other fun.

Sam worked on mastering standing to potty and drinking from a cup with no straw before school.  One activity was successful.

School shopping worked up an appetite and Sweet Frog was needed.

Avery and I had a girls day complete with 6-year check up and Pizza Hut.

I had lots of help for with cooking and baking.

Short Pump was the perfect place to spend the last weekend before I returned to work.

We introduced the Adams' family to the county fair where I'm from.

Everyone was excited about new pajamas.

My parents missed Avery's party because of some issues my mom was having with her foot.  Avery didn't mind celebrating her birthday again.

The first day of school arrived.  Avery started 1st grade and Sam entered PreK 3.  Everyone had a great first day.

We celebrated our first Blue Friday with our shirts and ice cream.

July

July was a fun and busy month.

We celebrated the 4th at a picnic lunch in town then with a parade and dinner in my  hometown.  Our family loves Independence Day.

We left the next morning for our week at the beach.  We had the best time playing in the sand, eating out, and relaxing.

Avery turned 6 on July 23rd!  Our elf visited, she had her traditional Bojangles breakfast, and she opened a few presents.

That weekend we had a house full to celebrate her with a princess party.  No one loves her family, friends, and birthday more than Avery.

At the end of the month, Avery participated in a week-long dance camp that lasted all day.  She had a great time, Sam and I had some special time, and I even had a few days to myself.
