We started off our Sunday by going to Sunday School. We had missed a few weeks due to illness and being out of town, but Avery was happy to be there. Ned and I aren't thrilled about our class and are not sure which direction it's headed in. Ned would prefer to go just to preaching, but Avery needs Sunday School.
We did not stay on Sunday because Avery had gotten up early. Her nap was interrupted by our neighbors who blow the horn 6 times each time they lock their van. Their driveway is conveniently located under Avery's window. After nap we went to the Gurganus's and chose more pumpkins. Avery was a bit busier than she was last year. She enjoyed running, playing with the tractors, and checking out some kittens.
Look how she's grown!
The first of the week was busy with meetings. Ned had one Monday night in preparation for his Duck's Unlimited banquet. He had a fire call as he walked in the door from that. He woke me up to go to bed when he got home, and by the time we got upstairs his pager was going off again.
We had a meeting and dinner at school Tuesday night. Ned picked Avery up so I didn't get to see her. I have a problem with meetings that are mandatory but not many staff members attend. I ate pizza at school and got indigestion. As I walked in the door at home, Ned was walking out to another fire call. I hate when we're going in different directions all the time.
We were all home on Wednesday, which was good because Avery was sick. Ned stayed home with her Thursday and then had drill that night. He came home with nice steam burns on his shoulders from where they had practiced in the smoke house.
I was home with Avery on Friday. She slept in again but I did not get the 4 hour nap like Ned did. We got out for a little bit to go to work and see Ned, Mimi, and Dixie. Even pizza for dinner was not too appealing for Avery.
Ned went hunting Saturday morning, and Avery was up talking at 5:40 a.m. She managed to stay in her bed until almost 7. The early wake-up was due to a bathroom issue. We had been instructed to give her her bathroom medicine and that backfired. We had a slow day at home but did go to Lowe's to see what kind of deals we could find. I talked up the car carts all morning only to get there and find no carts at all. It was a madhouse with everything 20% off. If all these people had supported it all along it would probably be staying open.
Avery and I both took naps in the afternoon. She was supposed to stay with Lolli and Poppa but she was being so strange about peeing and fussing in her sleep that I didn't want her to. They came to keep her here while we went out to dinner and to a birthday party. It was supposed to be a surprise but someone spilled the beans. I was pretty tired so I wasn't upset to leave a little after 10 so that Lolli and Poppa could get home.
This week doesn't appear to be any calmer, but these busy weeks are making October fly by. I'm not wishing my time away, but I'll be excited to see November arrive as well.

You are getting really good pictures! I am so impressed. Avery has grown so much since last year. It's amazing how quickly these girls change. Hope everything gets worked out. We are having bathroom issues here too.
OH such great pictures! It's crazy how much the girls have grown since last year! Time flies! Oh...and P had an accident in the carseat the very same day Avery did! They'll get there...if we are going any distance I make her wear a pull up all though I hate to do that! And looks like my problem with commenting was what you told me! Thanks!
Forgot to mention that I LOVE Miss Avery's pumpkin dress!
