What happens when a few hours alone on the beach are followed by a delicious dinner alone with my husband?
I agree to the purchase of a reasonably-priced one of these:
And by reasonable I mean cheap...really cheap. I've always thought the Wagoneer was really fun for some reason, and one has always been on my "Yeah Right" wish list. Ned likes them too. The conversation at dinner moved from an old Landcruiser for him to hunt on to a Wagoneer. I've shared with him my desire to have one before, especially after Orvis featured fully restored ones for sale in their catalog. The Wagoneer of my dreams will be far from fully restored but must include: seat belts, AC, and power steering. I would also prefer that there be no old car stench. And, if XM can be thrown in, all the better.
I think one would look fantastic with a big pink bow for my 30th birthday. Everybody needs an errand car, right? I do think Avery and Sam would need the biggest Britax we could find, as I'm sure we'd be without side-curtain airbags.
Will I get my Wagoneer? Well, not today and probably not tomorrow. But every now and then, dinner conversations that involve whims instead of children maintenance certainly are nice and relaxing. Almost as relaxing as a ride in my Wagoneer with the wind blowing though my hair.

You always make me laugh, love how you write. I can totally see that Wagoneer with a big pink bow on it. Oh to be 30 again, I'm feeling old now..Hope you have a great weekend:)
Sounds like my wish for my Volvo. I throw that in there every chance I get and I have GOT to be getting closer to a new car! But for now, we are enjoying no car payments for either of us...all the more to save for my Volvo, right? The Wagoneer's are classics! I'd spring for white or navy!
