Using Picasa, which I had downloaded to make my photo header (another idea from Clover Lane), I made a picture collage of Avery's favorite people, pets, and items. I added Avery's name at the bottom as we're starting to point out her name, letters, etc.
I e-mailed the collage to my local UPS Store, where they printed it on cardstock and laminated it for me. I had a very happy girl when we picked it up Friday morning.
So happy that she rode with it in the car, naming OVER and OVER all the things and people she could see. It was, of course, slightly bent when we got home which bothers my OCD self but not Avery. The pictures did not print as clearly as I hoped. I exported the file at the same size as I use for my photo banner, so I'm not sure if it was that, or their printer, or the fact that it went on cardstock. Avery is in love, and for less than $5, I can try again if I'd like. Now if only she would listen when I tell her Jen-Jen is watching to see if she's eating her dinner.

That is so cute. I love it!
OH I LOVE this! What a great idea! Just might do "P" one, she would love it! May need you to send me specific directions as I can be "stupid" when it comes to doing stuff like this sometimes!
Love this idea!!! I am going to copy you but of course!! lol! Jen Jen would be proud to see Avery being a big girl and at the big people table at home! ;)
Great idea! I saw the post over on clover lane, but just skimmed it....and i never thought about using pictures! maybe that will keep libbi entertained for a little bit longer - either that or she'll color over every one's faces - ha! :) cute, cute, cute!!
and a question.... how big did you make it? how did you know what dimensions to make the collage so it wouldn't come out all wonky when printed large?
