Week in Review ~10/30

Busy, busy, busy! That pretty much sums up our week. I was finally able to work a full week, and what a full week it was. Avery had her 15 month check on Monday. She got a great check as far as her developmental milestones. Her ear STILL has not cleared, so we're on our third antibiotic. Our doctor assures us that we are a long way from having to visit an ENT, but of course I'm still a little concerned. This is what happens when you congratulate yourself on your child not being on an antibiotic since December. Luckily, she shows no signs of her ear bothering her, so we go back in 2-4 weeks for another check.

I had parent-teacher conferences Wednesday and didn't leave school until after 5 pm. I actually thought it would be later, and I was excited to be able to meet Ned, Avery, and Mimi at church for the pancake supper. Avery was already enjoying some pancakes and mandarin oranges when I arrived. She ate almost 2 adult-size pancakes, a cup of oranges, and a yogurt. All that food kept her quiet and happy though!

I had a hair appointment Thursday so Lolli picked up Avery from Jen-Jen's and we ate supper with her. You never know what those two are going to get into when I'm gone. Friday was a busy day at school, and we stayed in for dinner instead of going out as usual. I bought groceries after dinner since we have a busy weekend planned and got home just in time to put Avery to bed.

Tonight we'll be having pizza with Mimi and Vincent and then trick-or-treating in their neighborhood. We're hoping the Vaughans will join us so that we can watch Emerson enjoy his first Halloween. We'll be off to church in the morning to keep the nursery, then we're having dinner with Lolli and Poppa tomorrow night, trick-or-treating there, and going to a party...all on a school night! After our busy weekend we should have a pretty calm week. Keep Ned in your thoughts as he runs for re-election for city council Tuesday. We know that if it doesn't turn out, God has different plans for this time in our life, mainly moving ahead with a new house. We're still hoping for a win though!

Happy Halloween!
