At this time in our life, our circle of friends is evolving. In some ways I think things like Facebook, blogs, texting, etc. allows friends to be more distant, because they can see what you're doing without actually checking in. At the same time, I'm so thankful for the friends I have and can keep in touch with because of these technologies. Many are friends who I rarely see or have never met, but are nonetheless quick to use these things to show that they are connected and interested in our life.
